Methi ka Paratha is a delicious and healthy Indian flatbread made with fresh fenugreek leaves (methi), whole wheat flour, and spices. It is a popular breakfast or lunch option, usually served with curd, pickle, or butter
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh methi leaves (fenugreek), finely choppe
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp salt (or as per taste)
1 tbsp oil or ghee
Water (as needed) for kneading
Ghee or butter (for roasting)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, chopped methi leaves, spices, salt, and oil.
Add water gradually and knead into a smooth, soft dough. Let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
2. Roll the Parathas:
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
Roll each ball into a round paratha (about 6–7 inches in diameter)
3. Cook the Paratha:
Heat a tawa (griddle) and place a rolled paratha on it.
Cook for 30–40 seconds, then flip. Apply some ghee and cook on both sides until golden brown.
Press gently with a spatula to ensure even cooking.
4. Serve Hot


Enjoy methi paratha with curd, butter, or pickle.
